I'm Sleeping Out

On November 19th, I will SLEEP OUT again - so homeless kids don’t have to.

Liberty Rent will match every donation, up to $10,000

The Sleep Out is not about pretending to be homeless. It’s an act of solidarity with the 4.2 million young people who experience homelessness each year. It’s a decision that we can’t stay indoors while so many kids remain outside.

One night can make a difference.

As part of my Sleep Out, I am raising funds and awareness for Covenant House, a shelter for kids experiencing homelessness and trafficking. Covenant House offers these brave young people so much more than a safe place to sleep - they provide absolute respect, unconditional love, and essential services to help youth transition from homelessness to independence.

They are ALL good kids desperately in need of help getting off the streets. Covenant House's first goal is to try and reunite them with family; if not possible, their caring and dedicated staff provides assistance finding a job, saving for an apartment, and much more.

Covenant House is the third-highest rated non-profit in Louisiana (by Charity Navigator, the nation's premier charity evaluator), so you can be confident that your support will be used effectively and efficiently. They are also 74% dependent on private donations to continue their critical work.

We're all being told to stay home. But what if you don't have a home?

Covenant House is on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic, serving as the last line of defense for our community's most vulnerable young people. This past November, Covenant House was providing safety, shelter, and support for 162 youth & children every night. Over 85% of residents lost their jobs in the first weeks of the pandemic, and their census has now grown to a daily average of 220 young people (a 37% jump).

Please help me help kids. Make a donation in support of my Sleep Out by clicking the “Support Me” button above.

I can’t do this without you. THANK YOU for your support!
