2020 Top Fundraising Global Team
Cisco employees have been a force for good in the Sleep Out movement since 2014, raising more than $6 million to support youth overcoming homelessness over the past seven years.
Team Cisco is a true grassroots effort, made up of nearly 700 employees in 20+ cities around the world. Cisco's enthusiasm is contagious, inspiring other companies to form their own teams and even hosting a Sleep Out at their headquarters in San Jose, California.
In 2020, as the world faced a global pandemic, Team Cisco doubled down on their commitment to end youth homelessness and recruited their largest Sleep Out team to-date, leading international participation with employees giving up their beds for the night in 20 different countries.
In fact, it was Cisco who leapt into action as the world went into lockdown. Covenant House's first virtual Sleep Out went live using Cisco's Webex technology, and we continued to rely on their software and expertise to bring people together for intimate conversations in interactive breakout sessions.
Beyond the Sleep Out, Cisco employees have worked with front-line staff at Covenant House to ensure that our shelters are equipped with the technology and resources that young people need to be successful in a virtual world.
