GIVE UP YOUR BED FOR ONE NIGHT
SO YOUTH FACING HOMELESSNESS CAN SLEEP SAFELY AT
COVENANT HOUSE MISSOURI
More than 265 young people come to Covenant House Missouri each year seeking safe shelter, nourishing food, clean clothing, and essential services like job training, education, healthcare, mental health counseling, and legal aid. Neglected, abused, and exploited - they are all good youth who deserve a chance. Most suffer from severe trauma following years of physical and/or sexual abuse - and exposure to the violence of the streets. Basic needs like a hearty meal and a warm bed are true luxuries.
Sleep out in solidarity with our young people to raise funds to help Covenant House Missouri provide 24/7 care, a safe home and resources as they build independent, sustainable lives full of hope. And the awareness you raise shines light on the youth homelessness crisis, urging us closer to a world where everyone has a safe place to sleep.
STUDENTS STEP OUT OF THE CLASSROOM AND INTO THE STREETS
Start a Student Sleep Out to immerse yourself and your peers in some of the problems that homeless youth face every day and to be part of the solution to these problems.
Student Sleep Outs can be held anywhere in the world. Students take the lead recruiting classmates and planning the program, with guidance from our staff.
Students fundraise for Covenant House Missouri to help raise funds that will allow us to continue to reach more youth across the greater St. Louis region.
Participating schools have included Saint Louis University and Ursuline Academy.
So when you, your school, and your fellow students come together for One Night for a Student Sleep Out and raise money for our organization, you are saying to our young people that we are One Community.
