Sleep Out Invitation
Message 1
Join me on EVENT DATE, as I Sleep Out and raise funds for Covenant House. 4.2 million young people face homelessness each year. Young people arrive at Covenant House with an array of lived experiences, including family trauma, substance abuse, mental health issues, domestic violence, sexual abuse, foster care, and human trafficking. Covenant House welcomes them with more than just a safe bed, warm meal, and clean clothes - they provide a community, opportunity, love, and respect. Together, we can help care for youth overcoming homelessness.

I have joined Covenant House's Sleep Out to help turn the world's attention toward youth homelessness. Covenant House has a goal of providing youth with over 4 million nights of housing in the next 5 years, including opening more beds, serving more food, and meeting more medical and mental health needs. Donation Appeals
Message 1 (General)
I am raising funds and awareness for the 4.2 million youth who face homelessness every year. Each of them has a story, a dream, and a future - one that they can build with the support and care from staff at Covenant House. I am giving up my bed for one night so young people facing homelessness can sleep safely at Covenant House. Will you help me honor the incredibly resilient young people at Covenant House by donating to my Sleep Out? Please take a moment to visit my Sleep Out page and donate today. INSERT PERSONAL URL
Message 2 (Human Trafficking)
Did you know that 22% of youth were approached for paid sex on their first night of homelessness? I signed on to Sleep Out on behalf of young people overcoming homelessness at Covenant House. Covenant House is on the front lines helping survivors of trafficking. Please support me with a donation of any amount, even just $11 provides one full day of meals for a youth at Covenant House. INSERT PERSONAL URL
Message 3 (Mental Health)
One thing that makes Covenant House's work different from many other youth-serving organizations is their doors are open 24/7 for any youth in crisis. At Covenant House, young people find the physical and mental health care they need, from the moment they enter the doors through the moment when they are ready to set out on their own. That is why I am Sleeping Out and fundraising for Covenant House, please support my efforts to help youth overcoming homelessness with a donation. INSERT PERSONAL URL
Message 4 (Post Event)
Last night, I participated in an event called Sleep Out, raising funds for Covenant House. Covenant House's doors are open 24/7 to provide shelter and loving care to youth facing homelessness. It was hard giving up my bed for the night, however, I had access to all basic needs and knew I was safe. Youth who are overcoming homelessness don't have that comfort.
Today and everyday, Covenant House staff are working to help young people regain employment, access healthcare and rebuild their lives.
Please consider making a donation to my Sleep Out page. Your support means so much to the young people and staff at Covenant House, no matter the amount. Because it’s more than what the money provides — it’s a symbol that you care. INSERT PERSONAL URL

Thank you so much for your donation in support of my Sleep Out. Covenant House is open 24/7 for youth facing homelessness, and your gift helps their staff protect and care for every young person who walks through the doors, to keep them healthy, and to meet the many challenges they face. Message 2
Thank you for your generous donation in support of my Sleep Out. As you know, I am giving up my bed for one night so that a young person can sleep safely at Covenant House. But young people will find more than shelter there. Covenant House offers young people sanctuary, and a continuum of care that is guided and defined by the principles of absolute respect and unconditional love: staff see young people the way they deserve to be seen, not as the label they’ve come with, and commit to a relentless relationship, to a covenant of support and care. Thank you for supporting this critical mission.

Donation Appeal
This is my X year Sleeping Out with Covenant House to support youth overcoming homelessness. These young people are the reason I take to the street- and ask for your support - each year. Each one of them has a unique story and each one of them will be cared for with love and respect by the team at Covenant House, (I know, I've seen them in action!) I hear from new young people each year and am reminded that homelessness is still impacting 4.2 million youth PER YEAR. It drives home how important it is that Covenant House remains open 24/7, 365 days a year. Our consistent support means that young people will always have a safe place to sleep. Thank you for your past support of my Sleep Out, and I hope you'll consider supporting me again this year. INSERT PERSONAL URL

LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness
Message 1
Did you know that 1 in 10 young adults and 1 in 30 adolescent minors experience a form of homelessness in a given year? That's 3.5 million young adults and 700,000 adolescent minors.
40% of all youth facing homelessness identify as LGBTQ+ while there are just 7% of LGBTQ+ youth in the US. LGBTQ+ youth are 120% more likely to experience homelessness than their heterosexual peers. Covenant House works 24-7 to fight these statistics. Every dollar raised is immediately put to work to provide safe housing, food, clothing, medical care, educational opportunities, and so much more to youth overcoming homelessness.
Please donate to my fundraiser today. INSERT PERSONAL URL
Message 2
When LGBTQ+ youth experience homelessness, many seek shelter and services in ways that put them at more risk of discrimination and abuse. Covenant House sites are welcoming, affirming, and safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth and all youth experiencing homelessness.
Please donate to my fundraiser today. INSERT PERSONAL URL
Message 3
Covenant House's mission is one of unconditional love and absolute respect for all young people facing homelessness. Welcoming young people who identify as LGBTQ+ to their programs has been part of who Covenant House is since their founding in 1972 and they are committed to ensuring all of their houses across the movement are welcoming, affirming and safe for young people who identify as LGBTQ+.
That's because LGBTQ+ youth experience a much higher risk of homelessness than their peers, and, once on the street, they face additional hardships because of stigma and discrimination. Youth who make their way to a Covenant House program, do so bearing a complex history of trauma. Join me in my support of Covenant House and the work they do for all youth overcoming homelessness by donating today. INSERT PERSONAL URL

Racism & Youth Homelessness
Message 1
I am raising funds for Covenant House, where close to 90% of the youth overcoming homelessness in the U.S. are people of color. Covenant House helps young people recognize both the impacts of racism that part of their lived experience and their own capacity for resilience. Please support my efforts to fundraise for these youth overcoming homelessness. INSERT PERSONAL URL
Message 2
Racial discrimination is pipeline to youth homelessness. It changes the way systems see and interact with you, the opportunities you're afforded, and the dreams you're allowed to have for yourself. As a society, we can accompany young people of color in overcoming the traumatic effects of racism if we all do a better job of being their allies and encouraging them.
Covenant House welcomes youth without judgement or conditions and treats all youth with unconditional love and absolute respect. Please support my Sleep Out as I raise funds for Covenant House with a donation of any size. INSERT PERSONAL URL
Message 3

What Your Donation Does
How your donations keep youth safe:
$10 provides youth with a hygiene kit as soon as they walk through our doors ensuring they have all the necessities they need. This includes everyday items we take for granted - shampoo and conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and a toothbrush, etc.
$50 will fill a backpack for one youth with essential school supplies.
$80 will provide one week of delicious and healthy meals to nourish a young person in our care.
$111 supports a newly arrived young person on their first day at Covenant House, which includes intake services, fresh linens, and staffing costs to maintain sanctuary.
$120 will ensure that a young person has professional attire for job interviews and hopefully, with the help and support of our workforce development staff, a full or part time job.
$350 fuels our street outreach program - literally. $350 will provide gas and supplies for our outreach teams who travel to meet young people where they are and offer Covenant House services.
Please donate a gift of any size, even small donations make a big impact to the youth at Covenant House! INSERT PERSONAL URL

Johnson v Grants Pass Supreme Court Decision
Message 1
In June, the Supreme Court made the ruling to allow cities to fine or even jail young people experiencing homelessness for sleeping outside, even if they do not have access to safe housing. This decision will reinforce cycles of oppression, causing disproportionate harm to LGBTQ+ and BIPOC young people, who are already at a higher risk to experience homelessness.
Covenant House provides a soft bed, a warm meal, and most importantly, safety, for all young people who need it.
Please consider donating to my fundraiser, any amount makes a difference. INSERT PERSONAL URL
Message 2
The Supreme Court ruling of Johnson v Grants Pass means that people who do not have a safe place to sleep at night can be ticketed, fined, or even jailed — even if there is nowhere else to go. Youth facing homelessness can always find refuge at Covenant House, who, on top of providing 24/7 shelter and support (including legal aid) will fight at all levels to prevent the criminalization of homelessness and advocate for a path out of homelessness that doesn't include the criminal justice system.
My Sleep Out funds this vital work. Will you make a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal and support these young people? I need your help to get there and show these young people that they are not alone. INSERT PERSONAL URL
