I'm Sleeping Out Once Again

This past summer I was blessed to be able to make the Camino in Spain. Each day we would walk for several miles knowing that at the end of the day there would be a place to stay providing a roof over our heads and a good hot meal.

Sadly, there are youth in our area making their way through life who at the end of their day have no place to call home, no roof over their head, no table to sit down to a hot meal. They are the reason why  I have accepted Covenant House’s challenge to spend a night sleeping on the street so homeless kids don’t have to.

The Sleep Out is not about pretending to be homeless. It’s an act of solidarity with the 4.2 million young people who experience homelessness each year. It’s a decision that we can’t stay indoors while so many kids remain outside.

One night can make a difference.

As part of my Sleep Out, I am raising funds and awareness for Covenant House, a shelter for kids experiencing homelessness and trafficking. Covenant House offers these young people so much more than a safe place to sleep - they welcome each kid with absolute respect and unconditional love, and their continuum of care provides essential services to help kids transition from homelessness to independence.

Help me help kids. Make a donation in support of my Sleep Out by clicking the “Support Me” button above.

I can’t do this without you. Thanks for your support!
