One Purpose, One Night

Everyone Deserves a Safe Place to Sleep

An increasing number of young people are facing homelessness. You can help.

Give up your bed for one night to ensure that youth facing homelessness can sleep safely at Covenant House New Orleans. At Covenant House, young people are welcomed with love and respect. We give them safe shelter, nourishing food, clean clothing, and essential services like job training, education, healthcare, behavioral health services, and case management — all the tools they need to build futures free from homelessness.

Sleep Out is your chance to shine a light on the youth homelessness crisis and raise critical funds that help Covenant House New Orleans provide young people with 24/7 support - ours is the only 24/7 intake shelter in our region. The awareness and funds you raise translate to things like transportation to work, school and safety, pregnancy and newborn supplies, and best-in-class care for youth overcoming homelessness and trafficking. Your Sleep Out experience comes with opportunities to learn from experts, meaningfully advocate for an end to youth homelessness, amplify stories from people with lived experience being unstably housed, and inclusion in a unique community.

We Sleep Out in November during Youth Homelessness Awareness Month to turn the world’s attention towards this critical issue and amplify Covenant House New Orleans' boldest mission: to end youth homelessness. Sleep Out supports Covenant House New Orleans’ efforts to address the root causes of homelessness and ensure that every young person has a safe place to sleep.
