SLEEP OUT DATE: 03/25/2022
8:00 pm - 8:00 am

Why Sleep Out?

More than 2,500 young people come to Covenant House NJ each year seeking safe shelter, nourishing food, clean clothing, and essential services like job training, education, healthcare, mental health counseling, and legal aid. Sleep Out is a way to support our youth on their journeys to independence.

Sleep Out in solidarity with our young people. The funds you raise help Covenant House NJ provide 24/7 care. And the awareness you raise shines a light on the youth homelessness crisis, urging us closer to a world where everyone has a safe place to sleep.

SLEEP OUT IN SOLIDARITY WITH YOUTH FACING HOMELESSNESS

On Friday, March 25th, we are bringing Sleep Out: Asbury Park Community Edition, Sleep Out: Camden Community Edition, Sleep Out: Young Professional Edition, and the Newark community together, along with other communities and groups from across our state! We are optimistic that our Sleep Out will include opportunities for in-person participation in New Jersey.

Sleepers will have the opportunity to participate virtually, from anywhere, and with anyone. All Sleepers will be invited to participate in a live, interactive online program with Covenant House New Jersey alumni, front-line staff, and fellow Sleepers from across the country. At night, our Sleepers will give up their beds and Sleep Out at a CHNJ based location or in their backyards, garages, porches, terraces, and floors across NJ.

Companies participating in Sleep Out can offer employees across the state or around the world the choice to Sleep Out remotely. This option provides the opportunity for meaningful engagement with your team.
