One Purpose, One Night
sleep out date: november 18, 2021 | 8:00 pm - 8:00 am
More than 2,500 young people come to Covenant House DC each year seeking safe shelter, nourishing food, clean clothing, and essential services like job training, education, healthcare, mental health counseling, and legal aid. You can support our youth on their journeys to independence.
Sleep Out in solidarity with our young people. The funds you raise help Covenant House DC provide 24/7 care. And the awareness you raise shines light on the youth homelessness crisis, urging us closer to a world where everyone has a safe place to sleep.
TWO WAYS TO SLEEP OUT IN SOLIDARITY WITH YOUTH FACING HOMELESSNESS
We are optimistic that our Sleep Out on November 18, 2021, will include opportunities for in-person participation in Washington. Details will be shared as they become available. Sleepers will likely need to be over the age of 18 to participate, unless attending with a parent or guardian.
Sleepers also have the opportunity to participate virtually, from anywhere and with anyone (a great option for families!). Remote Sleepers will be invited to participate in a live, interactive online program with Covenant House alumni, front-line staff, and fellow Sleepers from across the globe. At night, these Sleepers will give up their beds and Sleep Out in backyards, garages, porches, terraces, and floors across DC.
Companies participating in Sleep Out can offer employees across the state or around the world the choice to Sleep Out at a Covenant House-sponsored location or remotely. Both options provide opportunities for meaningful engagement with your team. Contact us at [email protected] with any questions.
