Sleep on the street for one night so homeless kids don’t have to.

4.2 million kids in America will face homelessness this year.

Covenant House provides these homeless young people with safe shelter and wrap-around services, including education and job training, so they can move forward to an adulthood free of poverty and the threat of homelessness.

You can make a big difference for homeless kids.

Sign up to Sleep Out with us! Fundraise for Covenant House to keep the lights on and the doors open for kids in need. Then, spend an evening getting to know some of the young people whose lives will be better because of your efforts on their behalf - and spend the rest of the night sleeping outside in their place.

The Sleep Out Movement is made up of advocates throughout the United States and Canada who accept the challenge to sleep outside for one night so homeless kids don't have to.

Sleep Out is an experience.

On your own or together with others, you take a piece of cardboard and a sleeping bag and spend a night in a safe location outdoors. Sleep Out is not about pretending to be homeless or about facing the life-or-death dangers of youth who live every day on the streets. It’s an act of solidarity and simple kindness.

The Covenant House Pennsylvania Associate Board leads the Sleep Out in Philadelphia.  For more information or questions about what it’s like to sleep out, please contact the Associate Board at [email protected] or visit our website

Covenant House Pennsylvania

Unfortunately, because of the national public health emergency from Coronavirus (COVID-19), Covenant House PA must postpone the March 20 Young Professionals Sleep Out. Postponing the Sleep Out is part of our comprehensive plan to prevent the spread of the virus and support the well-being of our young people, our team members and the CHPA community. We intend to host the Sleep Out in the future and will keep our corps of sleepers posted on a new date for event.
