California Sleeps Out

Living in California, it's hard not to be aware of the homelessness crisis in America. But did you know that 200,000 Californian youth under the age of 18, and thousands of 18-24 year olds, are homeless for one or more days during a year?¹

Covenant House California works to ensure that these young people have a safe place to sleep every night. In addition to safe shelter, youth facing homelessness can find food, clean clothing, and access to job training, education, mental health counseling, and legal aid — programs designed to help them on their journeys to independence.

you can help provide a bed for every head

Join the Sleep Out. Give up your bed for one night to shine a light on the youth homelessness crisis. Raise critical funds that keep Covenant House's doors open 24/7 for young people seeking safe shelter and loving care. And become part of the movement to end youth homelessness in California.

Covenant House California operates in four regions, but you can Sleep Out from anywhere with opportunities to participate remotely as well as at locations hosted by Covenant House. Get started by choosing the House you would like to support.
