About Covenant House in New York

Covenant House provides housing and supportive services to youth facing homelessness and trafficking in 34 cities across the United States, Latin America, and Canada, including right here in New York. We help young people strengthen their resilience through relentless support, unconditional love, and absolute respect. Youth find more than just a safe place to sleep at Covenant House: here, they can access job training, education programs, mental and physical health care, and legal aid to help them build a stable future.

In New York, nearly 400 young people call Covenant House home each night. Our crisis shelter is located in Midtown Manhattan and it has stood as a beacon of hope for 50 years. In addition to this crisis center, we operate transitional living programs in the Bronx, a Mother & Child program, and a trafficking safe house.
